Have A Heart Protest
The three cardiac campaign groups in the South East, Health Equality for the South East (HEFSE), 24/7 Cardiac Cover for the South East and The South East Patient Advocacy Group (SEPAG), have combined to organise “Have a Heart Day” and are calling on the people of the Southeast Region to once again come out on Saturday the 10th February 2018 to show support for the region’s call for 24/7 Cardiac Care.
The groups are asking people to support the call for the government to implement a second Cath Lab and 24/7 cardiac care at UHW with immediate effect. As this is a non-politically aligned event they ask that that there be no political flags or banners etc., also it being a family friendly event families and children in the region are invited to design a “Have a Heart” Valentine’s Card which will be collected at the event and sent to the Department of the Taoiseach.
Assembly will be at 2.15 p.m. on Saturday 10th of February at the Williamstown Retail Complex, walking the short distance to UHW where there will be a brief announcement regarding ongoing and future action including taking the groups’ campaign to the streets of Dublin.
