Tramore Christmas Carnival 2015

13 November 2015 Latest News Local News News

Returning after a highly successful début in 2014, the Tramore Christmas Carnival promises to be a fun, festive event for all the family! Attractions on offer will include a host of Funfair Rides, a plethora of Local Craft and Food Stalls, a Giant Post Box for your letters to Santa Claus, Carol Singing by Klub Muzik, a Panto Preview Performance by Tramore Musical Society and beautiful shopfronts competing for Best Dressed Window, judged by Councillor Joe Conway.

Hosted by MC Dónal O’Flynn, the festivities kick off at 5pm. At 6pm we’ll be joined by Santa Claus and Mayor of the Waterford Metropolitan District Eamon Quinlan to switch on the newly extended Christmas Lights which now stretch through Market Street and all of Queen Street. Once the town centre is lit up Santa will head straight to his grotto in the AIB car park to meet all of the girls and boys.

Entry to the event is free. Access to the funfair rides will require a €3 wristband for each child. Souvenir wristbands for adults will cost €2. Both will be available from the event entrances at Summerhill, Broad Street, Queen Street and Upper Strand Street as well as at Kelly’s Classics, The Natural Health Store, Lou’s Place and the Inistioge Puppy Rescue Charity Shop. All monies raised will go to cover the costs of Tramore Tourism’s fantastic free events.
