Tramore Christmas carnival 2016
For the third year running, the Tramore Christmas carnival returns to the streets of the town this year, bringing with it, all the usual festive fun and cheer
The Tramore Events Team proudly presents the third annual “Tramore Christmas Carnival”, a fun, festive event for all the family! It takes place on Wednesday 7th December 2016 from 5 to 8pm. The event is spread right throughout the town centre, encompassing Summerhill, Main Street, Broad Street, Queen Street and Upper Strand Street.
Attendance this year has had to be limited to 3,000 people within the zone at any one time for safety reasons. The organisers request the public’s co-operation with this.
Once again this year, you local Community Radio Station, TCRfm will be broadcasting live from the Cross on Main street, so be sure to call down and say hi.
Admission wristbands for adults cost just €1. For the price of a €3 wristband children will get unlimited access to the event including the four fabulous funfair rides. They can also post their Christmas wish list in the Santa Letter Post Box. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in their grotto at the AIB car park from 5pm. As usual music will be provided by Klub Muzik with the assistance of local groups and choirs. At 6pm the Christmas lights will be switched on by All Ireland Under 21 hurling star Barry Whelan. He will be joined on stage by the Mayor and other local representatives.
