WATCH: Nathan Carter’s rather awkward slip-up on The Late Late last night
Country and Irish singer Nathan Carter was left more than a little red-faced on The Late Late Show last night. The 25-year-old singer had a slip of the tongue that took the minds of everyone to an alternative musing while discussing his career and how he got to where he is.
Nathan was praising his mentor Philomena Begley, who joined him on the couch for a chat with Ryan Tubridy.
Things were going well until Nathan tried to emphasize the key role Philomena played in his rise to fame when ended up saying something that Ryan Tubridy had to help clarify.
Nathan please, there is a big difference in helping to get a man up, and get a man up on stage (something he realised just after his words came out of his mouth).
Dropping his head and covering his eyes, you can clearly see the poor guy squirm in his seat with embarrassment but Ryan does give him a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder to help keep him together.
Don’t worry Nathan it could have happened to anyone, unfortunately, your misguided words were on The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy.
