Waterford manager Alan Reynolds recovering following vicious assault
WATERFORD Football Club manager Alan Reynolds is in hospital after he suffered a vicious and unprovoked attack early this morning.
It’s understood Mr Reynolds was attacked from behind at around 1am this morning on main street in Tramore. Reynolds was jumped on, beaten and kicked by possibly two men at around 1am this morning.
“Waterford FC can confirm that manager Alan Reynolds is recovering in hospital following an unprovoked assault last night. The club will be making no further comment on the matter,” a statement said.
Mr Reynolds suffered injures to his face and leg in the attack.
Gardai are checking CCTV footage and are appealing for witnesses. There have been no arrests so far.
